Job summary

The Sheridan at Oak Brook, part of Senior Lifestyle, is seeking a Care Associate to join our Assisted Living team on a full-time night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM. You will assist residents with daily living activities while preserving dignity and independence, under supervision.

You will assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming and mobility, document logs, and support residents' emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• Proficient English to perform duties and emergencies.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required by state.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

Pay Rate: $20

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

Qualifications

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations.
• You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
