Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Manassas, VA seeks a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to assist residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care with daily activities, document services, and support dignity and quality of life. Shifts are 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am, with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and desire to serve residents.
• Ability to fulfill both physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Direct-Care certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and computers.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with care director about changes.
• Assist residents with mobility using proper techniques to prevent accidents.
• Make routine care rounds to meet resident needs per care plans.
• Assist with lifts/moves/transport using body mechanics or devices.
• Maintain skin integrity and change incontinent residents to prevent issues.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report resident issues promptly to supervisor.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, staff per policy.
• Familiarize with individualized care plans and provide support.
• Contribute observations to the care planning process.
