Job summary

Addington Place of Stuart in Stuart, FL is seeking a Care Associate to assist residents in the Assisted Living program during 7:00 AM–3:00 PM with part-time hours. You will help with daily living activities, promote dignity, and support independence.

You will document care daily, follow supervisor schedules, provide emotional and social support, and communicate issues promptly. A CNA/CHHA license may be required by state, and English proficiency, basic computer skills, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in senior care.
• Proficiency in English to perform duties and communicate in emergencies.
• May require CNA or CHHA license depending on state.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging and empathetic.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to solve practical problems in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services.
• Follow the resident needs schedule set by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily care logs and inform supervisor of issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage residents' independence and dignity.

• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.


• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.

• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.


• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.


• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.


• You have basic computer skills.
