Job summary

Beaumont Health Care in Northern Ireland is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide compassionate personal care to our residents, helping with washing, dressing, eating and daily routines. No prior experience is required as full training and development are provided, and you will be supported by a friendly, welcoming team.

You’ll work a seven-day rota with shifts from 8.00am–8.00pm or 8.00pm–8.00am, with flexible days and nights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a care home setting is preferred.
• Full training and development provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality personal care to residents, assisting with washing, dressing, eating and daily hygiene.
• Understand and adapt to residents' communication needs, offering confidence and reassurance to residents and families.
• Be a cooperative team player with good communication, patience and adaptability in a changing environment.
• Maintain a positive attitude with good observation skills and a sense of humour.

About the role

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Delivering quality personal care to each of our residents, supporting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.

• Understanding our resident’s communication needs and adapting your communication Support to the individuals and their families, offer confidence and reassurance.

• As team player who works well with others, a natural easy communicator, patient and understanding with the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.

• Good observation skills, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.

• You may have no experience as a Care Assistant so we offer full training and development – you may have worked in a retail, supermarket, customer service, warehouse or other people focused environments or just returning to work

The working shift patterns on a rota over seven days:

8.00am - 8.00pm

8.00am - 2.00pm

2.00pm - 8.00pm

8.00pm - 8.00am
