Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or group instruction/assistance to patients on a daily basis.
• Complete routine daily checks and report deficiencies to supervisor if driving is required.
• Accurately monitor and maintain data collection sheets and submit to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist with assessment of clients' strengths and needs.
• Assist with preparation of clients' meals and provide client training as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor to revise, delete, or add training objectives as deemed necessary.
• Maintain a neat and orderly facility environment.
• Monitor and document individual behaviors with specific terms (e.g., behavior changes, accidents, seizures).
• Encourage independence and participation in assigned activities.
• Provide positive assurance regarding benefits of treatment and participation.
• Support a therapeutic environment through hands-on instruction and guidance.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and address complaints to ensure patient safety.
