Job summary

Danville State Hospital, part of the Department of Human Services, is seeking entry-level Aide Trainees. You will support consumers with daily living needs, health monitoring, and activities, contributing to a safe and respectful environment.

No previous experience required; training provided. The position offers full-time hours 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch, a second-shift differential, and benefits. PA residency is required; conditional medical and background checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Assist consumers with personal care routines and activities of daily living
• Health Monitoring: Record observations and report changes in consumer conditions
• Mobility Assistance: Help consumers move safely, including positioning, walking, and transfers
• Program Participation: Support consumers during activities, appointments, and therapeutic programs
• Safety Practices: Follow proper procedures for emergencies, equipment use, and infection control
• Communication Duties: Document information clearly and share updates with the care team
