Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist 2 for the Cardiovascular Transplant Operating Room. The role supports invasive and noninvasive procedures, maintains a sterile environment, and ensures equipment readiness under supervision, with increased responsibilities as needed.

Qualified candidates have CST and TS-C credentials, LPN pathway licensure, and at least one year of surgical experience, able to work full-time on-site in Tampa.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Commission on Accrediation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Surgical Technology Program.
• Graduate of a Military Surgical Technology Program.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license active and unrestricted.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA.
• TS-C certification by NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile environment and assist in surgical procedures.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functional and available.
• Support both invasive and noninvasive procedures to prioritize patient safety.
• Work under supervision with increased responsibility as a CST 2.
