Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room and endoscopy procedures. This staff-level position requires 40 hours per week with day shifts and involves handling surgical instruments and supplies under medical supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Technical Program in Surgical Technology or LPN program, BLS certification, and at least five years of progressive surgical tech experience; CVOR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Technical Program Surgical Technologist or Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 5 years of progressive surgical tech experience; CVOR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical and endoscopy procedures under supervision.
• Prepare, assemble and care for surgical supplies, instruments and equipment before, during and after procedures.
• Identify and report issues to RN or Clinician; support OR staff in multiple surgical areas.
