Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks experienced per diem Cardiovascular Technologists for our Cardiac Cath Lab team. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, analyzing hemodynamics and EKGs, and maintaining sterile technique.

The role requires an associates degree and ARRT/RCIS certification, with ACLS/BLS credentials. Per diem, mixed shift schedule with 10-hour shifts and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Completion of a certified vascular technician program preferred.
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physician during cardiac cath procedures.
• Analyze hemodynamics and EKG.
• Remove sheaths and maintain sterile technique in the lab.
• First assist during procedures and scrub into caths.

Shift: per diem, mixed shift, 10hr shifts, Occasional on call/holidays/weekends, based on department needs

The Cardiovascular Technologist will be responsible for assisting the Physician during procedures, analyzes hemodynamics and EKG, removes sheaths, and uses sterile technique to set up laboratory.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• First assist supporting physicians at procedure table for cardiac caths diagnostic and intervention
• Ability to scrub into procedures
• Peripheral procedures diagnostic and interventions
• Pace maker insertions

Requirements:

• Associates degree required. Completion of a certified vascular technician program preferred.
• AHA ACLS and BLS
• ARRT and/or RCIS required
