White Plains Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform echocardiograms and other non-invasive diagnostic tests. The role involves collaborating with cardiologists and ensuring high-quality patient care during procedures. Candidates must have relevant experience and certification from an accredited program.

Varies between the hours M-F 2:30pm-8pm and Saturday 8a-4pm
Salary Range: $79,788.35-$119,682.23
Position Summary
Conducts Color Flow Echocardiograms.
Conducts Stress Echocardiograms and assists the Cardiologist in Transesophageal Echocardiograms.
Conducts other Non-Invasive procedures such as EKG, EEGs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
2. Conducts color flow Doppler Echos following established protocols.
2. Conducts Stress Echos according to established protocols.
3. Assist Cardiologist in the TEE procedure.
4. Submits echocardiogram at the highest quality possible well within the appropriate time span.
5. Identifies and conducts Echos without delegation.
6. Identifies and conducts other Non-Invasive testing without delegation. Example: EKG, Holter.
7. Must be proficient in the use of all other medical equipment such as EKG and EEG machines.
8. Must be proficient in the use of office equipment such as copy machine, fax and computer.
9. Recognizes and reports and equipment malfunction.
10. Maintains safety standards at all times and follows infection control guidelines.
11. Performs routine office tasks, such as answering phones, checking-in patients, obtaining previous reports/films, or
other related duties as needed.
12. Participates in the performance improvement program.
13. Demonstrates the ability to work and communicate with all members of the practice team.
14. Conducts other Non-Invasive procedures.
15. Recognizes abnormal echo findings and communicates any life-threatening situation to the appropriate personnel.
16. Ability to interact with neonates through the geriatric population.
17. Coverage rotation to other outpatient offsites.
18. Duties and hours may change according to the needs of the offsite practices.
19. May be required to work holidays, overtime and/or day, evening and overnight shift coverage to help maintain adequate and safe
coverage for the outpatient facility.
20. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program.
• Registered cardiac ultrasound technologist preferred or ARDMS or CCI.
• Two years’ experience conducting echocardiograms.
• Experience in other non-invasive procedures.
• Successful completion of orientation program according to department guidelines.

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment:
• May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the
employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and accessed
through the hospital’s Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also
be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.
• Ability to transport patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Hearing and visual acuity sufficient to perform ultrasound examinations, observe patients, read monitors and documents, and
hear equipment alarms.
• Ability to work within a limited space and remain in uncomfortable positions.
• Ability to transport mobile ultrasound equipment.
