Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under the supervision of a licensed physician. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, preparing patients for testing, performing clinical procedures, and participating in interventional procedures such as balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, radiofrequency ablation, and pacemaker or defibrillator insertion. Incumbents must stay current with department standards, protocols, and ongoing education.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepares equipment and room for imaging per physician instructions and department protocols.
• Provides patient care across all age groups during exams and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required.
• Performs general office duties including answering phones and managing supplies.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology with one year of related experience, or
• Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.

License/Certification:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) with CCI and license to practice in Washington, or
• ARRT certification and Washington State Certification.

Additional certifications include BLS and ACLS from AHA. Quarterly AHA RQI competency certification is required post-hire.
