Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels, under physician guidance, using advanced radiologic equipment.

You will prepare patients, operate imaging systems, and contribute critical data for interpretation while upholding patient safety and current standards in a collaborative Cath Lab team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology with 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology with 1–3 years of work experience in the core level.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
• Medical Radiographer license for WA upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT RT) upon hire.
• Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification for WA upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image per physicians’ direction and department protocols.
• Reviews procedure order to determine materials/supplies needed.
• Inputs data into the imaging modality systems.
• Delivers patient care for all age groups during exams/procedures.
• Maintains records and logs per department protocols and licensure requirements.
• Performs incidental general office duties (answering phones; inventory management).

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

• Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image, per physicians’ direction and in adherence to department protocols.
