Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform interventional diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac imaging in a fast-paced Cath Lab. You will prepare patients, operate advanced radiologic equipment, and contribute data for interpretation.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, patient safety, and ongoing learning as part of a collaborative Cath Lab team supporting life-saving procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.
• Basic Life Support CPR required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
• Medical Radiographer license for WA upon hire.
• Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification for WA upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image, per physicians' direction and in adherence to department protocols.
• Reviews procedure order to determine materials/supplies that will be needed.
• Ensures all equipment and instruments are in proper working condition by inspecting equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Sets up/stocks the procedure room/procedure trays with all needed supplies and equipment prior to procedure.
• Cleans procedure room post-procedure, including cleaning of equipment/machinery in accordance with established procedures, to facilitate room turnover.
• Inputs data into the imaging modality systems.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and 1-3 years One year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training, upon hire or
• Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology and 1-3 years One year of work experience in the core level of the job, or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position, upon hire
• Basic Life Support CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire and
• Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire or
• Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification: WA, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
