Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a qualified candidate for a critical role in cardiovascular support at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The position includes responsibilities for assisting physicians during cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures with a focus on patient care and procedural accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology.
• Certification as an ARRT; RCIS certification preferred; must obtain within 24 months of employment.
• 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to the physician during cardiovascular procedures.
• Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties with cardiac catheterizations.
• Provides care assessment before, during, and after procedures.

Skills

Clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology

12-Lead EKG interpretation

Intra cardiac pressure waveform knowledge

Pacemaker operations

Radiographic equipment related to cardiac care

Education

Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology

ARRT Certification

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties with cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgement in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Provides care assessment prior, during and post procedural instruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology. Certification as an ARRT; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred; Must obtain within 24 months of employment; 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred. Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation; physiological monitoring (intra cardiac pressure waveform knowledge), pacemaker operations (implantable and external) and other radiographic equipment related to cardiac care.
