Job summary

A healthcare provider in Pennsylvania seeks a technician to provide technical support during cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient care assessment. Candidates should graduate from an approved radiologic technology school and preferably have ARRT and RCIS certifications. Relevant clinical experience in cardiac catheterization is preferred, along with competence in EKG interpretation and pacemaker operations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred.
• Must obtain RCIS certification within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support and assistance during cardiovascular procedures.

Job description

Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring with cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards as protocols. Provides care assessment prior, during, and post proceduralinstruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.

Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology. Certification as an ARRT; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred; Must obtain within 24 months of employment; 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred. Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation; physiologic monitoring (intra cardiac pressure waveform knowledge), pacemaker operations (implantable and external) and other radiographic equipment related to cardiac care.
