Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a radiologic technologist to support physicians during cardiovascular and vascular procedures, including scrub and hemodynamic monitoring with cardiac catheterizations. Requires graduation from an approved radiologic program and ARRT certification; RCIS preferred with 24-month credentialing window.
Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in diagnostic or interventional cath labs and strong knowledge of cardiac physiology, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and pacemaker operation
Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring with cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards as protocols. Provides care assessment prior, during, and post proceduralinstruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.
Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology. Certification as an ARRT; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred; Must obtain within 24 months of employment; 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred. Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation; physiologic monitoring (intra cardiac pressure waveform knowledge), pacemaker operations (implantable and external) and other radiographic equipment related to cardiac care.
