Job summary

Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA, seeks an experienced cardiovascular invasive technologist to support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will scrub and monitor hemodynamics and prep/post the procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to standards.

Graduate from an approved radiologic technology program with ARRT certification; RCIS preferred and must be achieved within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology.
• Certification as an ARRT; RCIS certification preferred; Must obtain within 24 months of employment.
• 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation; physiologic monitoring knowledge; pacemaker operations and related radiographic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties with cardiac catheterizations and related procedures.
• Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.
• Provides care assessment prior, during and post procedural instruction to patients.

Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties with cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgement in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Provides care assessment prior, during and post procedural instruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.

Job Requirements

Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology. Certification as an ARRT; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred; Must obtain within 24 months of employment; 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab preferred. Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation; physiologic monitoring (intra cardiac pressure waveform knowledge), pacemaker operations (implantable and external) and other radiographic equipment related to cardiac care.
