Job summary

Mercy is seeking a part-time Cardiovascular Tech to perform EKGs, apply and process cardiac monitors, and support routine office duties. You will set up and maintain EKG equipment, perform cardiovascular tests, identify heart rhythms, and communicate with physicians and patients.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, strong English communication, and basic computer skills. Preferred qualifications include one year of experience and certifications such as CCT, CRAT, or CET,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; basic computer knowledge.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience or on-the-job training.
• Preferred certifications: CCT or CRAT or CET.
• Additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and cardiac monitoring.
• Set up and maintain EKG equipment.
• Conduct cardiovascular tests and identify heart rhythms.
• Communicate findings to physicians and patients.

The Cardiovascular Tech is responsible for performing of EKG's, application and processing of cardiac monitors and general office duties.. Their primary duties include setting up and maintaining EKG equipment, performing cardiovascular tests, identifying heart rhythms , and effectively communicating with physicians and patients.

Position Details:

Part-Time, Nights, Every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure:

Experience:

Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)

Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred Education:

Preferred Licensure:

Preferred Experience: One Year of Experience or previous on-the-job training or training through an Allied Health program.

Preferred Certifications: CCT or CRAT through CCI or CET through American Allied Health.

Preferred Other: Additional languages preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
