Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Texas seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. The role involves operating imaging equipment, assisting in scrub and circulator duties in the cath lab, and maintaining sterile technique.

Required qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree, AHA ACLS, RCIS certification within six months of hire, ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS, and applicable licensure.

Qualificações

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
• Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
• RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS

Responsabilidades

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during procedures, interpreting EKGs and pressures.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment.
• Assists as circulator, monitors patient, hands supplies, operates imaging equipment.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and dosages used.
• Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of procedures.
• Orders supplies for cath lab and manages inventory.
• Post procedure safety: remove sheath, maintains hemostasis, monitor status.
• Prepares lab for procedure and maintains sterile technique.
• Prepares patient for procedure by shaving and marking arterial pulses.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems.
