Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist for the Cardiac Operating Room. The role supports cardiovascular surgeries and requires preparing the OR, maintaining sterility, and passing instruments as needed.

On-site with weekday shifts and required call; live within 30 minutes for call purposes. Hours are Monday–Friday 6:30am–2:30pm with call; competitive benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k match, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NBSTSA certification and Surgical Technologist Licensure required; license if state requires it; NBSTSA if not licensed.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room for cardiovascular procedures and ensure sterile environment.
• Pass instruments, sutures, grafts and supplies to the surgical team during open-heart, vascular and thoracic surgeries.
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with preop/postop briefings, and document as required.
