Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist for the Cardiac Operating Room. The role supports open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries in a high-volume CTOR with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade School Graduate preferred.
• NBSTSA certification and Surgical Technologist Licensure required if license is mandated; otherwise NBSTSA suffices.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and organize surgical instruments for cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist the surgeon intraoperatively by passing instruments, sutures and grafts.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout the operation.
• Assist with room turnover and post-operative debriefings to support quality improvement.
