Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township, NJ. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with patients and the care team, and use barcode scanning and documentation tools to ensure safe medication administration.

The role requires a New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and a minimum of 6 months nursing experience or participation in our Nurse Residency program.

Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Step-down progressive care experience preferred.
• LVAD experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• Telemetry certification preferred.
• National certification preferred.
• BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and excellent patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other care team members about patient status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Document patient assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations in real time.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multidiscliplinary discharge planning for safe transitions and continuity of care.
