Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technician for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role supports a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in a 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. facility, with day-shift, full-time hours and required call coverage (live within 30 minutes).

Education includes an AAS or accredited cardiovascular program; RCIS within 6 months or current ARRT; licensure with BCLS/ACLS maintained. Previous Cath Lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Applied Science or completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program
• Must obtain RCIS within six months if not already certified
• Two years' work experience in invasive cardiology or equivalent accepted
• ARRT upon hire required (or equivalent)
• GMRT/RCIS alternatives may be preferred
• BCLS and ACLS required prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Assess and recognize patient emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions in the Cath Lab setting
• Support high-volume, fast-paced environment with team-oriented approach
• Contribute to patient care during cardiovascular procedures

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), day shift. Call (must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call), weekend and holiday requirements.

Here's What You Need:

Education:

Associate Degree in Applied Science required or

Completion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within six (6) months) required or

High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years' work experience in invasive cardiology required

Experience:

• One (1) year vascular or cardiac angiography experience preferred or
• Two (2) years' experience with high school diploma required
• Two (2) years Cath Lab experience strongly preferred

Licensure and Certifications:

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required and

GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist (if ARRT only) upon hire preferred or

RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required and

LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (if RCIS only) upon hire preferred or

RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required and

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
