Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Sonography, Radiology or related field within 3 months of hire, OR completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
• Registered by ARDMS/CCI or registry eligible and must become registered within 1 year from date of hire; maintain CE requirements.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-/post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care (CPR).
• Ensure equipment calibration and daily maintenance; report issues to supervisor.
• Generate ultrasound images of heart and vascular structures.
• May perform staff training and education.
• Monitor and record patient information; manage data for reports and charge entry.
• Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures.
