Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina seeks a Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging and related procedures for patients with cardiovascular disease. You will prepare patients, perform pre/post procedure care, and assist with room setup and cleaning to ensure efficient workflow.

The role requires completion of an accredited ultrasound program or associate degree, ARDMS/CCI certification, and at least one year of acute hospital experience. Onsite, full-time, 40 hours/week in Siler City.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Sonography or Radiology or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program.
• ARDMS/CCI registered or eligible and must register within 1 year.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in pre/post-procedure patient care and CPR.
• Generates ultrasound images of cardiac and vascular structures.
• Performs vascular studies and real-time readings in OR settings.
• Maintains equipment calibration and quality assurance records daily.
• Prepares procedure room and assists with post-procedure tasks.
