Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Marietta, GA is seeking a skilled cardiac and vascular ultrasound technologist to perform comprehensive studies including 2D echo/Doppler and vascular duplex for adolescent to geriatric patients.

This role requires registry-approved ultrasound training, BLS, and ARDMS/CCI credentials in multiple modalities. RDCS, RCS, RVT, RVS, and RT(VS) credentials are expected on hire to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience per IAC.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS/CCI credentials in both modalities at time of hire.
• RDCS (Cardiac) credential required.
• RCS credential required.
• RVT credential required (ARDMS).
• RVS credential required (CCI).
• RT(VS) credential required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac and vascular ultrasound testing including 2D echo/Doppler, dobutamine and exercise stress, and vascular studies (carotids, arterial, venous duplex, aorta, renal) as assigned.
• Document and provide preliminary interpretation of results for adolescent to geriatric patients.

Education

Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent per IAC

ARDMS/CCI credentials in both modalities at time of hire

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - CCI

Responsibilities

Performs both cardiac and vascular ultrasound testing to include 2D echo/Doppler, dobutamine stress, exercise stress, and multiple vascular procedures including carotids, arterials, venous duplex, aorta, and renal artery duplex, as well as other related duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead sonographer. Qualified individual is able to provide cardiac and vascular ultrasound to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary interpretation of results.

Education

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 2 years of experience in each modality in a hospital inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Required
• Must be credentialed through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) in both modalities at time of hire Required
• Echocardiography: Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required
