Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Georgia is looking for an ultrasound technician to perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound testing. In this role, you'll provide services to patients across all ages and document results. This position requires certifications and credentials through recognized professional bodies. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and be committed to excellent patient care. No prior experience is necessary, though preferred experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must provide cardiac and vascular ultrasound to patients of all ages.

• Credentialed in multiple modalities required.

Responsibilities

Performs both cardiac and vascular ultrasound testing to include 2D echo/Doppler, dobutamine stress, exercise stress, and multiple vascular procedures including carotids, arterials, venous duplex, aorta, and renal artery duplex, as well as other related duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead sonographer. Qualified individual is able to provide cardiac and vascular ultrasound to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary interpretation of results.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 2 years of experience in each modality in a hospital inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Required
• Must be credentialed through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) in both modalities at time of hire Required
• Echocardiography: Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Required
• Vascular Testing: Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Required
• Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) Required
