Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Illinois and certifications in BLS and ACLS (within 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care to support team collaboration.
• Perform unit-specific responsibilities and implement procedures aligned with practice area standards.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by reporting hazards and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and offer constructive feedback for professional development.
• Provide direct care to CVMS patients, including post-op CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients.
• Maintain a clean work environment and complete departmental competencies.
• Perform hourly patient rounding and proactively assist internal and external customers.
