The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy seeks a research technician to contribute to cardiovascular research in the Yang Laboratory. Under supervision, you will perform experiments including PCR, ELISA, immunoblotting, tissue culture, and data documentation, while also supporting veterinary students in the lab.

This grant-funded position is a 2-year limited-term project with potential for extension and requires a Bachelor's degree in a related science and up to one year of lab

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in a related science discipline.
• Knowledge and experience typically acquired by completing a Bachelor’s degree in science along with up to one year laboratory experience.

Aufgaben

• Conducts routine experiments following established protocols and procedures to achieve results.
• Performs techniques such as tissue culture, PCR, immunohistochemistry, electrophoresis, protein purification and others.
• Records results and maintains accurate records of experiments.
• Performs limited data interpretation and assists with basic statistics and analysis.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and orders/keeps inventory of supplies.
