Job summary

The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy in Boston is seeking a Research Technician to join a collaborative MBM project. Under supervision, you will conduct mouse infection experiments, culture bacteria, and help evaluate therapeutics using in vivo and in vitro models.

You will record results, assist with data analysis and machine learning tasks, and support routine laboratory operations, inventory, and equipment repairs in an ABSL-2 facility.

Qualifications

• BS degree in science or engineering with familiarity and some experience in mouse manipulation.
• Preferred: experience with mice, culturing bacteria, high-throughput measurements, data analysis.
• Some Python or Matlab for machine learning may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Follow and design protocols to test hypotheses in mouse infection models and bacterial work.
• Record results and assist with data analysis, including statistics and modeling.
• Assist lab operations, inventory, organization, and coordination of equipment repair.
