Job summary

St. Elizabeth is seeking a Cardiovascular Radiographer I to operate radiographic equipment, assist in cath lab procedures and ensure high-quality imaging with patient safety.

Responsibilities

CVRT-I is primarily responsible for employing imaging techniques and operation of X-Ray and other related equipment. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.**Job Description:****Job Duties:*** Operates and maintains all radiographic, digital, processing and viewing equipment associated with the production of high-quality images and quantitative analysis of coronary/peripheral anatomy. Applies principles of radiation safety and protection.* Acts as first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures to assure completeness of case.* Maintains a thorough knowledge in the use of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and products for procedures to ensure its’ accuracy and safety.* Reviews the pre-procedural patient assessment to obtain adequate information, communicate pertinent data to MD and ensure appropriate imaging and patient safety.* Assist in the education process of new employees, mentors students and other healthcare professionals observing in the cath lab.* Assist in the development of performance improvement activities in the cath lab, to include ideas, data collection, data analysis and implementing change to ensure best practice in the cath lab.* Performs other duties as assigned.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS****Education, Credentials, Licenses:*** Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.* Current CPR certification* ACLS certification (must be obtained within orientation period and prior to working independently)* ARRT(R) registered* State Licensure:Kentucky* KBMIRT Radiation Operator's LicenseIndiana* Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License to be obtained if working in Indiana**Specialized Knowledge:**Understanding of radiation protection and sterile technique**Kind and Length of Experience:**Licensed RT with adequate clinical experience from an approved program.**FLSA Status:**Non-ExemptRight Career.
