St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Radiologic Tech for our Radiology department located within the Dearborn Hospital.
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating imaging equipment safely, effectively, and efficiently while producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist. This role requires proficiency in all ordered X-ray procedures, including the selection of appropriate exposure factors to minimize radiation dosage and ensure patient safety. The technologist must adhere to all medical center, state, and federal safety standards and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate patient care. Responsibilities also include utilizing computerized systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations, accurately obtaining and documenting patient information, and ensuring proper procedure coding, charging, and modifier application. The technologist reviews images for quality and participates in quality control, quality assurance, quality improvement, and accreditation activities as needed. Additionally, the role involves performing routine equipment maintenance and cleaning, reporting malfunctions to leadership and clinical engineering, and following departmental disinfecting and infection prevention protocols. The Radiologic Technologist performs all duties with a commitment to excellence in patient care, regulatory compliance, and departmental standards, while supporting other initiatives and responsibilities as assigned.
