Job summary

CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI, while ensuring patient comfort and accurate results.

The role requires expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and producing precise imaging for timely radiologist interpretation. Responsibilities include pre-procedure education and close collaboration with staff to inform patients.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography Certification required.
• BLS CPR Certification required upon hire.
• ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Nebraska state licensure required upon hire.
• IA licensure upon hire must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic images (X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI) for radiologists.
• Educates patients pre-procedure and answers questions.
• Ensures proper patient positioning and aseptic technique.
• Places EKG and cardiac electrodes correctly.
• Preps skin and drapes procedures per physician preferences.
• Prepares patient and sterile equipment as directed.

Job description

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To be successful in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Assists with pre-procedure education and preparing patients for procedure.
• Collaborates with other staff to assure the patient has a thorough understanding of procedure and is able to answer questions as needed.
• Assures the patient is positioned properly for the procedure.
• Assures EKG electrodes are properly placed and cardiac electrodes correctly applied
• Assures skin is prepped and sterilized appropriately prior to procedural draping
• Sets up patient and sterile equipment in accordance to the performing physician's preferences.

Pay Range

$32.30 - $48.05 /hour
