Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Cardiovascular Quality Coordinator to support cardiovascular quality, accreditation, and performance improvement activities across the continuum of care.

The role collaborates with physicians, nursing leaders, registry teams, EMS, and other stakeholders to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia or compact state in good standing; BLS required.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible clinical nursing experience in cardiovascular/CCU/emergency/acute care settings.
• Experience with cardiovascular registries, data abstraction, or performance measurement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cardiovascular quality, accreditation, and performance improvement activities across the continuum of care to support regulatory requirements and quality goals.
• Collect, validate, analyze, and report cardiovascular quality and outcome data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, registry teams, EMS, and departments to support achievement of quality metrics and outcomes.
• Develop and evaluate cardiovascular clinical protocols, care pathways, policies, and best practices to promote evidence-based care.
• Monitor adherence to clinical standards and coordinate follow-up actions to address performance gaps.
• Coordinate cardiovascular quality committees and performance improvement meetings, including reporting and data presentations.
• Develop and deliver educational programs and resources to promote competency and quality outcomes.
• Serve as liaison for cardiovascular quality and performance improvement initiatives across departments and leadership.
• Contribute to planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality initiatives and strategic priorities.
