Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for the Heart & Vascular Prep and Recovery unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for cardiovascular procedures. You will work on a fast-paced, 36-hour weekly schedule on the night shift in the 1HV outpatient unit on the first floor of NC Heart & Vascular Hospital.

The role emphasizes coordination with procedural teams, safe nursing practice, and compassionate patient interactions across pre- and post-procedure care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in NC.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures and surgeries.
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care with collaboration across physicians and teams.
• Support pre- and post-procedure care to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Assist with education and patient/family engagement as needed.
