Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for the Heart & Vascular Prep & Recovery unit (1HV) in Raleigh, NC. This full-time night-shift role provides specialized cardiovascular nursing care before and after procedures, collaborating with physicians and the procedural team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities include caring for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, Afib ablation, pacemaker procedures, and open-heart surgery, while maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for cardiovascular procedures and surgeries.
• Collaborate with physicians, procedural teams, and other healthcare staff.
• Prepare patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures and surgeries.
• Coordinate care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.
