Job summary

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. located in Detroit, MI, seeks a Cardiovascular Medical Science Liaison to cover the Central North territory (MI, IL, WI, MO, IA, KS, NE, MN, SD, ND).

This role focuses on developing medical and scientific relationships with KOLs, payors, IDNs and ACOs while engaging in data discussions with P&T committees. The MSL will deliver scientific education on Lexicon's cardiovascular portfolio, discuss health outcomes data, and support medical affairs activities while

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or health discipline degree required (MD, PhD, DNP, or PharmD).
• Minimum of 2 years of field medical experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of cardiovascular experience required.
• Experience presenting Health Outcome data to payors and C-suite members is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate relationships with national, regional and local KOLs and payer opinion leaders.
• Engage in scientific exchange and education regarding Lexicon's compounds and therapies.
• Develop scientific expertise in Cardiovascular disease management for HCP engagements.
• Deliver engagement plans for key decision makers and payer accounts collaborating with field and non-field teams.
• Capture insights and field interactions in CRM in a timely manner.
• Align customer educational needs with Lexicon resources and provide data in response to inquiries.
• Assist with medical affairs activities including medical information services and advisory boards.
