Job summary

HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking qualified candidates for a Cath Lab imaging role. The position requires 1 year of direct patient care experience and licensure options including LPN, RT, EMT, or Paramedic, with RCIS/RCES registry preferred.

BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire are required. PRN, day shift schedule in a hospital setting. Education involves a high school diploma or GED with preferred associates in health sciences; a certificate program is acceptable.

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of a certificate/training program or an Associates degree in health sciences is preferred (including but not limited to cardiovascular technology, respiratory therapy, nursing, or emergency medical services).
  • 1 year of direct patient care experience is required.
  • Previous cath lab or procedural experience is preferred.
  • Licensure in the state of practice as an LPN, Respiratory Therapist (RT), Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic OR graduate from an accredited cardiovascular technology program is required or preferred.
  • Certification or registry eligible as RCIS or RCES from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is preferred.
  • BLS is required. ACLS is required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $21.00 - $31.50 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Education

High School Diploma or GED is required. Completion of a certificate/training program or an Associates degree in health sciences is preferred (including but not limited to cardiovascular technology, respiratory therapy, nursing, or emergency medical services).

Experience

1 year of direct patient care experience is required. Previous cath lab or procedural experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

One of the following is required: Licensure in the state of practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Respiratory Therapist (RT), Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic OR graduate from an accredited cardiovascular technology program. Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
