Responsibilities

  • Observe telemetry monitors and report abnormalities to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety on cardiology ward.
  • Work night shift schedule of 7pm–7am as part of a 36 hrs/wk rotation.

Job description

Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.80. A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician to join our Cardiology unit. Telemetry Technicians observe telemetry monitors and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure consistent patient safety.

Department: Cardiology
Core Function: Nursing Support
Schedule: Nights, 36 hrs/wk, 7pm-7am

Facility: St. John's Hospital Clinic
Location: Springfield, IL

Education Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Experience Qualifications: 1 year of Telemetry experience (preferred); 2 years of experience in the medical field (preferred)
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (required); Basic Life Support (BLS) (required); Certification in cardiac technology by the American Cardiology Association (preferred); Successfully complete basic EKG training at the first offering and 16 hours of 12-lead EKG training within 3 months of hire (required)
