Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Clinical Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position supports the cath/EP labs, coordinating patient care and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certification - BLS from AHA upon start; RCIS/RCES or RTRCV/RTRVI/RTRCI, unless RN graduate.
• If no registries, must be licensed in Virginia as RN on start.
• Five years of experience in Cath/EP Lab, interventional radiology, critical care, or equivalent critical care nursing experience.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or accredited Cardiovascular/Radiology Technology School or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate patient care by staff in a clinical area; communicate issues with leadership and resolve conflicts or revise processes.
• Assist physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in designated labs; prepare sterile field, manage resources and medications (contrast media).
• Attend at least 90% of staff meetings and perform staff evaluations within set time frames.
• Assist in policy development and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards; complete department competencies.
• Demonstrate ongoing self-development through in-services and seminars relevant to the field.
• Collaborate with staff and physicians during procedures to maximize patient outcomes.

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Clinical Coordinator to join the team. This role will be full-time 40 Hours Per Week Variable Shifts

Job Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs and evaluates the patient care provided by staff working in a particular clinical area. Communicates patient care issues with cross-departmental leadership and develops a plan for resolution of conflict or revision of present process.
• Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the designated Labs, including preparation of sterile field, inventory resources and medication management to include contrast media.
• Attends at least 90 percent of staff meetings. Performs job evaluations for specific staff members within established time frames.
• Assists in policy development and meeting all JCAHO standards. Successfully completes 100 percent of annual hospital and department competencies.
• Demonstrates evidence of self-development activities (beyond orientation) and attendance to in-services/seminars related to field.
• Collaborates with staff and physicians throughout procedure to maximize patient outcome and procedure completion.

Additional Requirements:

• Certification - Basic Life Support from AHA Upon Start; Must have one of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiologist (RCES), RTRCV, RTRVI, RTRCI unless a graduate of nursing
• Licensure - If does not possess one of the above registries, then must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse Upon Start
• Experience - Five years of experience in one of the following: Cath or EP Lab, interventional radiology, critical care, or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit
• Education - Other Radiologic Technology Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
