Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for the 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit. The role involves night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 23-bed unit caring for patients after structural cardiac procedures and complex cardiac conditions.

The ideal candidate is BLS/ACLS-certified, holds a nursing diploma, and is licensed to practice in Alabama. Join a team dedicated to high-quality care and continuous telemetry monitoring.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Alabama
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire date
• ACLS certification preferred or required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
