Job summary

Memorial Hermann seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the Cardiovascular ICU/IMU, to provide comprehensive patient care including assessment, diagnosis, and in-hospital follow-up. Requires AGACNP or PA, 2–3 years in critical care, and experience with heart failure populations. Training on devices will be provided.

Night shifts, weekends, and holidays included. Two years RN/CCU experience is required if new NP/PA; Texas NP/APN certification and ACLS/PALS/NRP as appropriate are required.

Qualifications

• Two years clinical nursing experience in area of intended practice.
• ACLS certification required; PPE and trauma training where applicable.
• Graduate of NP program approved by Texas or acute care NP with trauma area approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management and in-hospital follow-up.
• Work within Texas Nurse Practice Act and Memorial Hermann Standards of Care.
• Rotate through Cardiovascular ICU/IMU with training on devices as needed.
