Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Nocturnal Critical Care Physician Assistant in Austin, TX to join the Heart Hospital of Austin team. The role focuses on ICU patient care with an emphasis on nocturnal coverage on a block schedule.

Workload is described as extremely manageable, with 1-2 overnight admissions on typical nights. Qualified candidates have a graduate PA degree, US work authorization, and Texas licensure eligibility, plus proficiency with ICU procedures such as intubations and line

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active Physician Assistant license or eligible to become licensed in Texas.
• Must be proficient in performing ICU procedures (intubations, arterial lines, and central lines).
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Providing care to patients in the ICU.
• Admit patients to the ICU and perform procedures.
