Job summary

Market Street Staffing seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a Cardiac ICU position in Hershey, PA. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, order tests, and manage medications within a 30-bed CVICU taught at an academic setting.

Required board certification, PA/NP licensure in PA, and cardiothoracic experience. This 1099 contractor role offers 3x13-hour shifts with day or night coverage and travel benefits if applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent
• Active PA license in Pennsylvania and NP certification (AANP)
• NCCPA certification for PA credentialing

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions.
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty.

• VA & VV ECMO
• LVAD
• Cardiac transplants
• Procedures including arterial lines, central lines, swans, and IABP removal

Schedule:

• Day and night coverage needed
• 3 13-hour shifts per week, 7:00a-8:00p or 7:00p-8:00a

Licenses& Certifications:

• Activeand unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse(APRN) license in Pennsylvania
• Nationalcertification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by arecognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy ofNurse Practitioners [AANP])
• Activeand unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Pennsylvania
• Nationalcertification from the National Commission onCertification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Experience:

• Whilespecific requirements may vary, most locum APP positionsprefer candidates with at least one year of experiencein a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Travel:
