Job summary

BAS HealthCare seeks an experienced Certified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with critical care cardiac ICU experience for a locum-tenens role in Hershey, PA. Candidates must have VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management experience.

Shifts are 13 hours (7am-8pm or 7pm-8am), including nights, weekends, and holidays, with daily rounding and patient management in a 30-bed CCU. Pennsylvania license and ACLS/BLS required.

Qualifications

• Experienced, board-certified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with critical care cardiac ICU experience.
• Specific experience with VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management.
• Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC not accepted).
• Board certification required with active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding and patient management.
• Admissions and post-operative patient management.
• Perform procedures including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and IABP removal.
• Handle 8-12 patient encounters per shift in a 30-bed department.

Job Details

• Seeking an experienced, board-certified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with critical care cardiac ICU experience
• Specific experience required with VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management
• Position requires (3) 13-hour shifts per week (7am-8pm or 7pm-8am), including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Primarily manage HVI CCU patients under the guidance of an Intensivist
• Responsibilities include daily rounding, patient management, and order entry
• Handle admissions and post-operative patient management
• Perform procedures including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and IABP removal
• 8-12 patient encounters per shift in a 30-bed department
• Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC not accepted)
• Board certification required with active ACLS and BLS certifications
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days

• Locum Tenens engagement through March 2027
