Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a CTA - Care Team Associate for the Cardiovascular Unit, full-time nights. Under RN supervision, you perform routine patient-care tasks and support the care team to monitor patients.

No prior experience required; HS Diploma or GED accepted. You will take vital signs, assist with procedures, and help with admissions and transports while maintaining a safe, clean, and compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health status and assist with the plan of care under RN supervision.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders within scope.
• Take and record blood pressures, temperatures, pulse, and weight.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and telemetry setup.
• Collect specimens and perform sterile procedures as directed.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients.
• Transport patients and assist with safe patient movement.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and restock supplies.
• Provide safety as a designated attendant and report changes to the RN.
