The role includes rounds, first assist for robotic lobectomy, CABG, TAVR, valve repairs, ICU management, admissions, and discharge summaries. Requires BC/BE, WA license or IMLC, and BLS; travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible physician assistant in cardiothoracic surgery and related subspecialties.
• WA state license or IMLC eligibility is required.
• BLS certification is required and must be current.

Responsibilities

• Perform morning rounds with daily progress notes and order labs.
• Act as first assist in cardiothoracic procedures including robotic lobectomy, CABG, TAVR, and valve repairs.
• Manage CTS patients in ICU, step-down, and postoperative clinics.
• Conduct admissions, consults, H&Ps, and discharge summaries.
• Provide after-hours call coverage with prompt response; assist urgent cases.

• Conduct patient admissions, consultations, history and physicals, and discharge summaries.
  
• Provide call coverage including finishing late cases, responding to CCU calls, and returning for emergency surgeries.
