Job summary

IMP Locum Tenens, LLC seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for Spokane, WA to provide inpatient CT surgery coverage on a locum basis. Duties include Impella implants, valve repairs/reconstructions, and weekend call coverage, with on-site supervision and clinical call management.

The position requires board certification in CT surgery and active privileges. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided by the agency.

Qualifications

• Board-certified surgeon with CT surgery accreditation.
• Experience providing inpatient CT surgery coverage.
• Proficient with Epic EMR and ICU procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide CT surgery coverage for 10–14 days per month including weekend call.
• Perform procedures such as Impella implant/support and valve work.
• Cover weekday night and weekend call with defined response times.
• Collaborate with RNs, MAs, PA/NPs in inpatient settings.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage for 10–14 days per month including weekend call.
• Perform procedures including Impella55 implant/support, aortic valve conservation, aortic root remodeling and enlargement.
• Cover weekday night call (2 nights per week, 5pm–7am) and weekend call (Friday 7am to Monday 7am).
• Manage patient volume and acute volume/BP issues, insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, IABP.
• Collaborate with support staff (RNs, MAs, PA/NPs) in an inpatient setting, including clinic one day per week.
