Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing in collaboration with a Joplin, MO facility seeks a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage starting Dec 18, 2026 and ongoing. The surgeon will perform advanced cardiovascular and thoracic procedures with solid APP and OR team support, on a 7a-7a call schedule with 24-hour coverage.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CABG, valve and thoracic interventions, working with cardiology and critical care teams to deliver high-quality operative care

Qualifications

• Board: BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgery (active preferred)
• COVID & Flu vaccination required
• ACLS required
• MO license or IMLC for MO practice

Responsibilities

• Lead a broad spectrum of adult cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensivists to deliver comprehensive operative care.
• Provide exceptional, perioperative care and manage thoracic interventions as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures, with valuable experience in general thoracic surgery; Will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensive care specialists to provide exceptional, comprehensive operative care. While the primary focus of this position is advanced cardiovascular surgery, the ability to manage and perform essential thoracic interventions is highly beneficial to meet our community's diverse clinical needs.
