Cardiovascular Area Business Manager - Pacific NW

Role Summary

Pfizer has a deep heritage and leadership in Cardiovascular Disease, and we are committed to providing breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. An integral part of Internal Medicine, the Cardiology Team’s mission is to bring breakthrough therapy for patients suffering from NVAF or VTE.

This role reports to the CARD RBD and collaborates with customer-facing and HQ teams. The Area Business Manager (ABM) will supervise 9-12 representatives, oversee sales performance, and analyze the business landscape to identify key stakeholders and trends. The role involves regular in-field and virtual coaching, customer contact, and partnership development with marketing and channel teams. The ABM ensures team compliance, promotes integrity, and drives business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise operations of the District, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management of 9-12 representatives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets, and business plans at the district level.
  • Monitor performance to meet business potential and division goals.
  • Utilize promotional materials effectively and contribute to marketing plan formulation and assessment.
  • Analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with customers, KOLs, and key stakeholders, and develop advocacy and community engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and ensure compliance.
  • Coach representatives on connecting with cross-functional colleagues and using digital tools.
  • Plan and conduct meetings with management, partners, and teams.
  • Maintain product and market knowledge to address customer and team inquiries.
  • Operate digital platforms effectively and leverage analytics tools.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing face-to-face and virtual engagements.
  • Ensure team adherence to compliance policies and foster a culture of integrity.
  • Set team goals, monitor progress, and promote continuous improvement and feedback culture.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales/marketing experience with demonstrated leadership.
  • Ability to motivate, lead change, and deliver business results.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience in sales data analysis.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Diverse leadership experience, influencing and collaborating across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of people management experience preferred.
  • Experience with high-influence customers, thought leaders, or large practices preferred.
  • Strong digital communication, coaching, and data management skills.
  • Proven strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
Work Environment & Other Details
  • Travel required within the District and to national meetings. Overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Remote, field-based role covering WA, OR, ID, and parts of MT and WY.
  • Salary range: $133,000 - $268,300 plus quarterly incentive bonuses.
